RECOVERY ZONE
Santa Fe River corridor, east of downtown Santa Fe, NM
LAST CONFIRMED ACTIVITY
July 18, 2026 (see FR-2026-071)
STATUS
FLAGGED — ASSET RECOVERY, UNRESOLVED
FIELD NOTE

Per FR-2026-071, last confirmed location prior to loss of containment is consistent with the trail access point at the Santa Fe River corridor, east of downtown. Terrain matches known specimen habitat preference — riparian wetland, dense cover, minimal foot traffic in early morning hours. Recommend prioritizing search along the historic dam structures inside the preserve boundary, where standing water and beaver activity have created conditions consistent with prior specimen behavior patterns.
